A little after midnight Company 35 was alerted for a Motor Vehicle Collision with one trapped on the Northbound section of 295 prior to Powder Mill. Engine 353 and Ambulance 358 arrived to find one patient trapped.
Members of the Greenbelt VFD attended the City of Hyattsville 127th Anniversary Parade and returned with the Best Appearing Fire Company Award. Thank you to the City of Hyattsville for the opportunity to attend the parade and the award.
Company 35 was dispatched for the overturned vehicle on the North bound section of 295 after Greenbelt Rd. Chief 35 arrived on scene and established command of the incident, reporting two cars overturned with all occupants out of the vehicles.

Between the 18 runs for the day the ambulance crew found some time to take part in the annual Easter egg hunt at Buddy Attick Park in Greenbelt. Later in the evening Duty Crew IV did some drills at the station.

Close call for home owner. Just before 1 PM Box alarm 3510 was dispatched to 19 Hillside Rd. for the townhouse fire. Engine 35, Chief 35 and Chief 35A responded on the run. Chief 35A arrived to find a 2 story end of the row townhouse with nothing evident and established the Hillside command.
At 1658 hrs. on March 2nd, Box alarm 3506 was transmitted for a reported kitchen fire on Emily Way. First arriving units reported smoke showing from a two-story townhouse. Engine 35 arrived and laid a supply line going in.
At 1328 hrs a box alarm was transmitted for the basement fire in the 9000 Blk of 1st In company 48's first due bringing Engine 35 2nd due and Chief 35 and the B Chief. First due Engine from 28 reported smoke showing from a 1 story split foyer house.
At 1959 Engine 353 was placed on the Fire Task Force for Box Alarm 28-11 7602 Fountainblue Drive for the working apartment fire with people trapped. The companies on the scene made quick work of the fire and the Task Force was places in service within a half an hour
Just as Duty Crew 1 returned from getting dinner and was sitting down to eat, the box alarm was sounded at 2055 hours for a reported townhouse fire on Laurel Hill Road. Chief responded, as well as, Engine 353 with 5 personnel.
