Fire strikes at Emperian Village
Just before 9 am this morning units from Berwyn Heights, Branchville, Greenbelt and surrounding fire departments were alerted for an apartment building on fire with people trapped in the 5900 block of Cherrywood Terrace.

Auto Fire on Lakeside Drive
Around 3:30 this morning firefighters from station 835 were alerted for a motor vehicle accident on the unit block of Lakeside Dr.
They arrived on the scene and reported a auto well off with no one inside. It took firefighters about 10 minutes to bring the fire under control with no injuries reported.

Jasper's Restaurant catches fire
Shortly after 5 am this morning, Engine 835 was dispatched to 7401 Greenbelt Road Jasper’s Restaurant for alarm bells.
Firefighters arrived on the scene and reported fire showing from the roof area of a one-story restaurant building and requested a box alarm assignment.

Members from Greenbelt participate in the City's Labor Day Festivities!
Greenbelt's Volunteer Firefighters and EMTs participated in the annual Labor Day parade, hosted by the city in Old Greenbelt. Over the course of the weekend, members walked around the festivities talking with citizens presenting fire safety information and education.
